This
is my favorite fishing village in Nordingrå.
Here you have a fine naval place, a well graduated camping, seapool, restaurants,
holiday villages, youth hostels and very fine naturally beauty in the
surrondings.
The chapel, above the place where the fishermans were hanging their fishingnets
called "gistvallen"
in Swedish, were built in 1646 by the fishingmans of Gävle. Norrfällsviken
had in the beginning of the 50:s - 22 fishingfamilies.
Nowadays it´s not many people living here for the whole year and
only a couple of fishingmans. But in the summertime here are lots of tourists.
Many of them are coming from Norway.
If you are going up to Kompassberget and continue to go over the place
of rubble
stones you will come to a cape called Skvalpudden, there you will
find a windprotection where you can sit down, eat your sandwiches, grill
some hotdogs and enjoy the view of the sea for a while.
Up behind one of the holiday villages there is a well attended golf course
with 18 holes. There is a remarkable view out over the sea and out over
the island of Ulvön. If you continue you will come to a very fine
seabath,
but there is very cooooold water.
If you like to see the king of the forest you have come to the right place
(the path of elks). Here they have their own way. |
